NRG's #40C is a MEASNET-calibrated anemometer primarily intended for wind prospecting applications. A four-pole magnet induces a sine wave voltage into a coil producing an output signal with frequency proportional to wind speed. This signal is measured by our data loggers. The #40C is constructed of Lexan. A rubber terminal boot is included. In February 2008, the #40C replaced the #40 anemometer.

The #40C is measured by the PulseCount instruction in CRBasic and by Instruction 3 (Pulse Count) in Edlog. The #40C uses one pulse count channel on the data logger.
