The CS105 measured barometric pressure for the range of 600 to 1060 mb (approximately sea level to 12,000 feet). A 12 V switching circuit was included in the sensor; a data logger control port was used to control 12 Vdc power to the sensor, reducing power consumption. A sensor warm-up time of up to 1 second was recommended.

A 2.5-ft cable is supplied with the sensor for connection to the data logger. The cable connects to a control port, single-ended analog input terminal, 12 V power terminal, and ground terminal on the data logger.
The CS105 is typically mounted next to the data logger inside an ENC12/14 or larger enclosure. The very small ENC100 is available for housing the CS105 separately, in its own enclosure.
