The CS225 and CS230 are new custom-manufactured products for making soil temperature profile measurements. The CS225 Temperature String provides multi-point temperature profiles for a wide variety of applications and environments, including boreholes, soils, freshwater, saltwater, frost, and permafrost monitoring. It consists of up to 32 temperature sensors mounted in a rugged, steel-reinforced cable. The completely sealed cable assembly permits the CS225 to be buried, submerged, or integrated directly into structures. Temperature points are over-molded for long-term protection in all mediums.
The CS230 Temperature Profiler measures soil temperature using a rigid probe assembly and up to four external probes. The rigid probe assembly protects and maintains the precise position of up to 32 temperature sensors. The probe assembly and external probes are completely sealed, allowing the CS230 to be used in roadbeds, soils, water, snow, and ice. Example applications include spring load adjustment, frost and permafrost monitoring, soil, water, and snowpack temperature profiling.
