A Campbell Scientific data logger is being used by the The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) in conjunction with Asdal Builders to help identify inexpensive ways of achieving significant energy savings in homes. The project involves monitoring the energy consumption of a house in Henderson, Nevada and then retrofitting the house with equipment/appliances that will help decrease energy usage. Based on the recorded data, the HVAC system, windows and many of the major appliances have already been replaced. Final retrofits were to be made in July of 2000, allowing a final analysis of the project soon after. The effort is a project of the Partnership for Advancing Technology in Housing (PATH).
