Hello every body.
We have a TDR100 and we need down load the data to the laptop, but just have USB port (not COM port). We buy the adatador cable, but the program not read the TDR100.
Exist a some form to get download the data?
Thank in advance.

The TDR100 should work with most good quality USB to serial convertors. To use such an interface you need to determine which virtual serial port it represents and use that serial port in PC-TDR. Early versions of PC-TDR were limited to COM1-4. Later versions support a wider range of COM port numbers. Please get the latest version from here:

One known issue some have encountered is if you run the program and then close it when there is no COM port on the computer, the program may then give an error message on restart. To correct that problem you need to locate the file TDR100.INI in the directory C:\Campbellsci\PCTDR and delete it. Restart the program with your USB serial port plugged in, select the correct COM port number and then close the program (which stores the selection). All should be well thereafter as long as you have the serial port plugged in when you start the program.
If the serial port still does not work, please try another brand or buy one from Campbell Scientific that we have tested and shown to work.
Thank a lot... now is working very well!

I have the same problem. I tried two different brands of USB-to-Serial converters, forcing them to various different COM numbers on two laptops, with no luck. It gives me an access violation error when I try to make a TDR reading (if the system has only one port active) or when I try to change the port number to the correct one in PCTDR settings. The program works fine on a real com port (desktop machine).
I Used the downloaded version of the TDR and the CD version (both V2.08).
As APS has stated above, the access violation occurs under the following condition:
