RTMC teechart8.ocx & MS VBA

xstratamrm Jan 3, 2010 09:39 PM

When developing database applications on a machine with RTMC installed this bundled control creates a reference in VBA that causes, in my case MS Access 2003, applications to fail to run correctly when distributed to other pc's.

The fix is to disable the reference to the missing activex control in MS VBA. Alt F11 from withing Access, Tools, References and clear the tick beside MISSING TeeChart Pro.

cheers

I am not sure why TeeChart would be getting included as a reference by default in MS Access 2003, but I tested this in MS Access 2007 and did not see the same issue. So I don't know if it was an issue with MS Access or Steema's TeeChart OCX, but it seems to have gone away with the latest version of MS Access.
