I was wondering if anyone has used the GX400 with a Campbell CR1000 yet? Any experiences are appreciated. I was considering the faster 4g speeds for transfers of video from a CC5MPX.
Yes. We have customers using the GX400. Configuring the GX400 is very similar to your home router and to the RavenX/XT/XE line of devices. Depending on your installation, you may wish to disable diversity.
everhamme- did you have any luck - I am pulling out what's left of my hair trying to get a gx400 to talk to a CR200 - please let me know if there was a modem configuration trick
I believe my only trick was setting up a port forward entry to the serial port IP. Brian Ulrich at Campbell support can help you from there. He had an LS300 template he forwarded me, which is essentially the same as the GX440, but without the 4g modem.
Well - I am done - I got some Ravens and they work - However- on my journey of trying to get the GX400 to talk to the CR200 - I spoke to the folks at Sierra - they said to update to teh newest firmware on their website - AND - by the way here is another version of firmware that is not public GX_4.3.4E07.bin that has the serial bugs figured out - you then have to do a factory reboot of the modem - hold the reset until the only light is a green power light - you then have to re-enter the apn to get it talking - I could not get any templates to reload so I set it up as best I could manually - when I went in loggernet - I tested communications in the setup screen and it worked - however - I could not reconnect - so I think if I was willing to waste a few more hours I could get the configuration right - I will wait till next time and maybe someone has a template - I think I may have an issue with the port forwarding but I have wasted way way too much time on this
