The C20 Cassette Interface provided an alternative method of communication between RC35 Tape Recorder and computer. It decoded and transmitted ASCII or binary data to an external RS-232 interface. The user needed to write a simple program to download data. Baud rate, format selection, parity, protocol determination, and port configuration were controlled through toggle switches. The C20 could also transmit data between a terminal and a mainframe computer. The C20 was powered by either a 120 Vac or 240 Vac power supply with a frequency range of 47-63 Hz. It was intended for desktop operation; no mounts required or supplied.
